A true Arkansas native! This is a very rare native wildflower found only in the Ozark region of Arkansas and Missouri. Bush's Coneflower attracts various butterflies and bees, and is deer resistant! It is the most fragrant of all the Coneflowers. Echinacea paradoxa (Bush's Coneflower) matures to 3' in height and has yellow flowers. Bush's Coneflower prefers medium to dry soil conditions and grows best in full sun to partial shade. It will bloom along with Pale Purple Coneflower in approximately June, July, and/or August. This is a very rare native wildflower found only in the Ozark region of Arkansas and Missouri, but it will grow well in gardens from the Upper Midwest to the Northeast. The paradox of this plant is that it is a yellow coneflower; all other native Echinaceas are shades of purple and pink. Bush's Coneflower attracts various butterflies and bees, and is deer resistant!
