RE-CONNECTING HUMANS TO NATURE

Connecting with nature is a truly special experience, and there's no better way to do it than by building your own native garden and watching it develop right before your eyes. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting out, there's something truly magical about seeing the fruits of your labor come to life in your own backyard. Start your own native garden today and experience the wonder of nature for yourself!

MEET HEATHER

I am a native of California that transplanted herself in Arkansas.  Now I am a true Arkansas native :)

Years ago one of my very best friends gave me a book by Arkansas' Lori Spencer, " Arkansas Butterflies and Moths."  In that book I discovered the world of host plants for our local butterflies and started planted as many plants as I could to support them.  They weren't easy to find, so I decided to start growing them myself.  Once I started converting my gardens to natives I saw the big change in all of the wildlife the garden supported.  Not only did the gardens draw the butterflies I was hoping for, but so many different pollinators and birds.  The gardens are FULL of life!

Then the winter of 2021 hit.  It was crazy cold, but you know what? The natives were absolutely fine with it!  They THRIVED that year and have every year since.  Through our crazy cold winters and our blazing hot summers the natives just keep going.

Pollen, nectar, gorgeous flowers, seed for birds, host plants for butterflies & moths... Natives are a big winner and they are meant to be here, just like this transplanted Arkansas native gal :)
